Fast-Track Your Success: How Coaching Condenses Time.

The most common complaint I get about my coaching programs is that they come to an end.

My coaching is designed to empower and support the client in sustainable transformation. And it does. So, they will be totally fine flying solo. They will leave a different person to who they were when they entered the program.

However… there is a good reason many choose to continue, and why I myself have chosen to have multiple mentors and coaches in my life consistently for the past six years.

The ladder of learning is infinite. The ceiling keeps becoming the floor! I keep discovering how much more expansive and meaningful life can be and feel.

There is no way I would be in the arenas I am in, and creating what I am creating if I hadn’t have had a coach partnering with me. To expand my mind, to call out my blind spots, to help me continue to grow, to bring impossible dreams to life, and to have the kind of impact I want to have on the world. Coaching enables my dreams, visions and impact to keep evolving and expanding. And the game keeps getting bigger, bolder and more delicious.

In a recent client session, I could see my client was grappling with the notion of her program completing soon, and I watched her as she was doing her best to convince herself she could do it on her own if she made use of the community and friendships she had formed along the way.

Client: “I’m sure I can do it, I have been doing it”

My reply was very matter of fact.

Me: “You can do something on your own, but it won’t be this”.

You see, whilst self-sufficiency is an admirable trait, I am all for championing and acknowledging ourselves and others, and believe me I big my clients up A LOT!!  But it is WORLDS APART from what can be accomplished when partnering with a skilled and experienced coach.

I’ll give you an example;

My client had been sitting in indecision and overwhelm about her upcoming event and creating the supporting materials for it.

Within just 40 minutes today, we had;

•   Achieved clarity and a way forward.

•   Increased her motivation and inspiration.

•   Streamlined her project to be more efficient whilst ADDING more value.

•   Identified multiple new channels for audience growth and ways to increase participation in an upcoming event.

•   Created an asset that can work over and over again for her with no extra input required from her.

I especially love points 3 & 5 – you can do less work, with less time and energy invested and have the final product be MORE VALUABLE!

So yes, you will definitely achieve something, and I have no doubt it will be good. But we just went from good to GREAT. And we bought you back some time.

That’s the curse of "good enough”. Or of needing to prove you can do it for yourself. This mindset of adequacy holds you back from exploring how great it really can get.

A partnership by its very nature cannot be a solo effort

My client is BRILLIANT. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. She leans into learning and she puts it into practice. She asks questions, she takes what she hears and she wanders outside her comfort zone all the time to bring her ideas and creations into reality. She partners with successful women, in big organisations, up to big things. She is a dream client and she is one partner in the dance.

Because the coach and client relationship IS a collaborative dance that brings insights to life. While you, the client, are the one putting insights into action, the inception of these transformative ideas happens within the sacred space between the coach and the client. It is in the dance where the magic is birthed.

She told me as we wrapped up our session together…”Two years ago when our paths first crossed you said to me that coaching condenses time. I didn’t know what you meant. Now I do.”

Coaching Condenses Time

A seasoned coach can help you achieve what may have otherwise taken months or years in a much shorter timeframe. Coaching sessions are a concentrated form of valuable experience, insight, and tailored conversation that you cannot generate alone. The coach's expertise aids in evoking fresh, new ideas, more efficient ways of doing things, more powerful ways of being to step into.

The notion of needing to do it all on your own is a myth that only serves to limit your potential. A coach facilitates a transformative process that goes far beyond what you could accomplish alone. And it isn’t a reflection of your worthiness or value.

So, the next time you catch yourself in the "I can do it on my own" trap, remember that while you may tread water independently, coaching might just be the catalyst that allows you to sail.
